¿Cuándo empezaste a sentir interés por la música? ¿Fue el comienzo de tu carrera? / When did you start to feel interested in music? Was it the start of your career?

Siempre estuve interesada en la música, desde que nací. Empecé a tararear melodías antes de poder hablar y me ha perseguido toda mi vida. Primero como hobby, por supuesto, porque, ya sabes, tenía otra pasión por el deporte cuando era niña al crecer como jugadora de tenis, pero un día la música me poseyó y nunca más me ha dejado.

Empecé a escribir mis primeras canciones a los 14 años y he grabado cientos de ellas los últimos 11 años, pero supongo que el verdadero comienzo de mi carrera tiene que ser ahora que estoy firmada con una discográfica y, ya sabes, he decidido parar todo lo que estaba haciendo sabiendo que había terminado mis estudios en negocios y marketing. Y, ya sabes, los últimos dos-tres años he decidido enfocarme solo en la música porque así es como te haces bueno en algo, ¿no? Centrándote en el trabajo.

I was always interested in music from birth. I started humming melodies before I could even talk and it’s followed me my whole life. First is a hobby, of course, because, you know, I had another passion for sport when I was younger growing up as a tennis player, but one day music really took over me and it never left me.

I started writing first songs at 14 and recorded hundreds of songs for the past 11 years, but I guess a true start in my career has got to be right now that I’m signed in a label and, you know, I really decided to stop everything I was doing knowing that I had finished my studies in business and marketing. And, you know, for the past two-three years I’ve decided to only focus on music because that’s how you become great at something, right? Focusing on the work.

¿Qué nos puedes decir sobre ‘The Only Way (I Wanna Love You)’?/What can you tell us about ‘The Only Way (I Wanna Love You)’?

Mi primer single, ‘The only way I want to love you’ es una canción de amor profundo. Escribí, ya sabes, sobre decirle a alguien que estás deseando desnudarte para él/ella, y con eso quiero decir, dar tu todo, tomar riesgos y estar allí en los buenos y en los malos momentos. Se trata de pedir a la persona que amas que te deje entrar y mostrarle que te importa de verdad y que vas a dedicar todo el tiempo que necesites para aprender a amarle profundamente. De eso va la canción.

My first single, ‘The only way I want to love you’ it’s a deep love song I wrote, you know, about telling someone you are willing to put yourself naked for them and by that I mean giving your all, taking risks and being there in the good times and in the bad times. It’s about asking the person you love to let you in and showing them that you really care and that you’re going to take all the time you need to learn to profoundly love them. That’s what the song is about. 

¿Cuál es tu parte favorita de ser artista musical? ¿La composición, la grabación, la producción, tocar en directo…) ¿Por qué? / Which is your favorite part about being a music artist? (Composing, recording and producing, live playing….) Why?

Mi parte favorita de ser un artista musical es el proceso creativo- Me encanta inspirarme por todas las diferentes energías y emociones que siento. Ya sabes, puede ser en cualquier sitio y a cualquier hora. Mi segunda parte favorita es, por supuesto, cantar en directo y compartir mis emociones con el mundo. De vez en cuando, ya sabes, cambias la visión de la gente sobre aspectos de la vida y los conviertes en cosas positivas. Ya sabes, a eso me dedico.

My favorite part about being a musical artist is the creative process. I love to get inspired by all the different energies and emotions that I’m feeling. You know, it can be anywhere and at any time. My second favorite is of course to sing it live and share my emotions with the world and sometimes, you know, it changes people’s view and aspects of life into something positive and you know, that’s what I turn to.

¿Qué opinas sobre la industria musical actual? / What do you think about the music industry nowadays?

Creo que la industria de la música está evolucionando mucho. Por supuesto, hoy tenemos plataformas de streaming digital y redes sociales que nos capacitan para compartir la música casi instantáneamente, ya sabes, eso para mi es libertad comparado con antes, cuando parecía que la música era mucho más privada. Es también genial ser capaces de utilizar softwares y herramientas para hacer música más fácilmente que nunca donde quieras y estés donde estés en el mundo, eso es alucinante.

I think the music industry is evolving a lot. Of course, today we have digital streaming platforms and social media to be able to share music almost instantly, you know, that to me is freedom comparing to before, where it looked like, you know, music was a lot more private. It’s also great to be able to use softwares and tools to make music easily whenever you want and you know, wherever you are in the world, like, that’s amazing.

¿Cuáles son tus planes de futuro en el mundo de la música? / What are your plans for the future in the music field?

Mi plan para el futuro en el campo de la música es salir ahí fuera y divertirme. Continuar escribiendo y componiendo cada día, hacer la mejor música que pueda y compartirla con el mundo, cantar en los escenarios tanto como pueda y, sí, simplemente continuar profundizando en el proceso creativo que amo. Continuar moldeando mi persona y continuar trabajando mi fuerza vocal, porque, nunca paramos de aprender. Ya sabes, con suerte, ir de gira algún día, ese es mi sueño y mi meta es tener mi primer album en el mercado y que la gente cante conmigo mis canciones. Ese es mi sueño.

My plan for the future in the music field is really get out there and have fun, you know. Continue to write, compose every day, make the best music I can, and share it with the world, sing on stage as much as possible. And yeah, just really continuing to dive deep in that creative process that I love. Continue to mold my Persona, and continue to build vocal strength because we never stop learning. You know, hopefully be on tour one day, you know, that’s my dream and my goal is to have my first album out and have people sing along my songs. That’s like, that’s my dream.
