Snapchat has bought the music app ‘Voisey’. It is an application available only for iOs with which users can record short videos using beats provided by producers in addition to professional vocal effects.
The videos have a maximum duration of one minute and can be individual or collaborative. Up to four people can participate by contributing with their voice. Afterwards, the users can save the video on their devices or share it.
Many within the industry consider this app to be a great musical composition tool as more than 11 million songs have been created in the app until November 2020 reaching 200 million views.

MORE CHANGES – ROYALTIES
The platform has also released Spotlight a new functionality through which they will highlight the content of some users according to their popularity, in addition to paying them ‘royalties’ for the content. According to the platform itself, they expect to pay more than a million dollars each day until the end of 2020.
The sharing system will be very similar to Spotify’s system, they will take into account the how long the user stays watching that video and the number of times that it has been shared, they will also take into account the times that users have skipped the video.
