¿Cuánto tiempo llevas en la música? / How long have you been singing?

Mi primer single se estrenó en 2017 pero podrías encontrarme en el escenario (o encima de una mesa) desde que era un bebé.

My first single was released in 2017, but you could find me performing on stage (or on top of the table) since I was a toddler.

¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?

Um… es como preguntarle a un padre a qué hijo quiere más. Me inclino hacía ‘Molly Molly’ (si estás buscando algo que te motive) y ‘Cold Body’ (si simplemente quieres relajarte por la noche). También me gusta ‘God’ porque es una canción con mucho mensaje y que significa mucho para mí y para los más cercanos a mí.

Uh…It’s like asking a parent which child is the favorite one. I’m torn between ‘Molly Molly’ (if you are looking for something to turn up to) and ‘Cold Body’ (if you just want to have chill night). I also love ‘God’ because it was such a meaningful song that meant a lot to me and those who are the closest to me.

¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future?

Continuar creando música, dar vida a nuevos proyectos y con suerte, empezar a ir de gira y actuar por todo el mundo. En cuanto a una «perspectiva más amplia «, si mi música puede crear la misma escapada / seguridad / comprensión / validación que me atrajo a la música, si mi música puede hacer eso por una sola persona, puedo dejar esta tierra diciendo que hice mi parte. Sin embargo, a nivel personal, un día me encantaría ser madre … ¡y también tener 50 perros!

To continue creating music, bring new visual projects to life, and hopefully, start touring and performing around the world. As for the «Bigger Picture», if my music can create the same getaway/ safety/ understanding/ validation that drew me to music, if my music can do that for just one person, I can leave this earth saying I did my part. On a personal level though, one day I’d love to be a mother….and also own 50 dogs!

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not making music?

Crear es una gran pasión para mi, así que puedes encontrarme fácilmente creando contenido divertido para que mis seguidores se rían! Me gusta hacer ejercicio, salir con mi perro y navegar por internet para buscar inspiración. Prefiero utilizar mi tiempo libre con mis amigos y mi familia si puedo. . También me encanta ver documentales. La primera línea de PBS es mi objetivo, Los daros aleatorios y raros siempre son útiles para hacer que cualquier conversación sea interesante, y me encanta ver la cara de los demás cuando les digo algo que no esperan y que está probablemente fuera de lugar.

Creating is a huge passion of mine, so you can often find me creating funny content to bring some laughs to my followers! I like to work out, hang out with my dog, and scroll through the internet looking for inspiration. I prefer using my free time to spend time with my family and friends if I can. I also love watching documentaries. PBS frontline is my go to but beyond that, the weirder the topic is, the better! Random and weird facts are always useful to make any conversation exciting, and I love seeing other’s reactions when I say something unexpected, and probably out of place. 

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

 Cuando empecé a lanzar música, el streaming ya era el rey. Por supuesto, como consumidora de música también, me acuerdo de tener que comprar CDs enteros de artista sy sentarme a escuchar todo el CD. La Catherine de 8 años llevándose el reproductor de CD, que era del tamaño de un ordenador portátil ahora, por toda la casa escuchando a todo volumen el doble CD de Britney Spears… ¡qué vibra!

Sin embargo, ahora, ya no es un hábito. Incluso si mi artista favorito lanza un álbum entero, es raro que me siente a escucharlo desde el principio hasta el final. Así que como consumidora, puedo comentar cómo ha cambiado la forma en la que se escucha música… lo que por supuesto a su vez, ha cambiado la forma en la que los artistas crean su música! Cuando escribo música ya no es para pequeños conciertos. El streaming ha creado un escenario mundial para todos, pero eso también ha hecho que la competencia sea mucho más intensa. Cuando empecé a crear y lanzar mi música, eso ya estaba en mi mente.

 By the time I got into releasing my music, streaming was already king. Of course as a consumer of music as well, I remember having to buy whole CDs from artists, and sitting down and listening to the whole CD through.  8-year-old Catherine taking her little portable cd player which is a big as a laptop now, around the house blasting the double cd of Britney Spears…what a vibe! 

However, now, it isn’t a habit anymore. Even if my favorite artist releases a whole album, it’s rare I sit down and listen to the whole piece front to back. So as a consumer, I can comment on how it changed the way music is listened to…which, in turn, has changed the way artist create music for sure! Whenever I write music it’s not about just small concerts anymore. Streaming has created a world stage for everyone, but it has also made the competition a lot more intense. By the time I came to creating and releasing my music, that was already something I had in my mind.
