¿Cuánto tiempo llevas en la música? / How long have you been singing and songwriting?

Llevo cantando desde que tenía dos años, pero no me lo tomé enserio hasta que entré en el conservatorio de música universitario en mi are local. Empecé a componer con mi mejor amigo que se murió hace doce años.

 I’ve been singing since I was two years old, but wasn’t serious about it until I got into a music conservatory in my local area. I started songwriting with my best friend who passed away twelve years ago.

¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?

Mi último single ‘Get Back To You’. Todo está conectado para mi en ese tema y además pude trabajar con otros artistas en la canción. Por primera vez, he podido soltar mi sonido. Me está ayudando para otros tracks futuros que se estrenaran.

My newly released single “Get Back To You.” Everything connected for me on that track and I got to work with some others on the song. I felt for the first time I could let go of my sound. It’s helping me on other future tracks that will be released.

¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?

Creativamente continuaré lanzando mis propios proyectos pero también me gusta colaborar con otros artistas. También tengo mi propia empresa con la que me auto promociono y promociono a otros artistas de forma digital.

Creatively I will continue to put out more of my own projects, but also love collaborating with other artists. I also own my own company on which I self-promote and promote for other artists through online promotion.

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

Me encanta cocinar. Hago comida casi cada día para mi familia.

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

El streaming es el futuro. Es fácil y accesible. Nos da a los artistas independientes formas de que nuestra música se escuche si promocionamos nosotros mismos las canciones para fans potenciales. Pero, es necesario hacer algunos cambios para que los artistas cobren más de estos servicios de streaming. Con suerte en cinco años Spotify, por ejemplo, cambie su modelo del modelo pro rata a uno más centrado en el usuario y con más transparencia en general.

Streaming is the future. It’s easy and accessible. It gives us independent artists ways to get our music heard if we promote the songs ourselves and for potential fans. But, there needs to be some changes for artists to get higher pay from these streaming services. Hopefully 5 years from now Spotify for example will change their model from a pro rata model to a more of a user centric model and better transparency overall.
