¿Cuánto tiempo llevas en la música? / How long have you been playing and producing?

Llevo activo en la escena techno desde 1995 y aún era fan de pinchar con vinilo. Como Dj, he pinchado en clubs desde 2001 y poco tiempo después, empecé mis primeras pruebas en la producción. Pero solo llevo trabajando duro y persiguiendo un plan 4 años. Han sido los primeros grandes éxitos que he podido celebrar.

I have been active in the techno scene since 1995 and was still a friend of djing with vinyl. As a DJ I have been playing in clubs since 2001 and a short time later I started my first attempts in producing. But I’ve only been working my ass off and pursuing a real plan to get ahead for 4 years now. The first big successes with releases I could already celebrate.

¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?

Tengo la meta de mejorar con cada tema y también de inventar y crear nuevas cosas una y otra vez. Por lo tanto, no me centro estrictamente en seguir una única dirección. Pero lo que más me gustan son las melodías techno molonas y el cosmic techno. Así que recomendaría mi tema ‘Darkness‘ de Codex Recordings a todo el mundo como representación de mi trabajo.

I have the goal to get better with every track and also to invent and create new things again and again. Therefore I don’t commit myself strictly to one direction. But straight groovy techno with melodies as well as cosmic techno is what I like best. Therefore I would recommend my track «Darkness» on Codex Recordings to everybody as a figurehead of my work.

¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?

Tengo grandes objetivos para el futuro y llevo desarrollando mi propio plan de negocio un año. Es importante tener nuevas metas y trabajar para conseguirlas con pasión y un alto compromiso. Podéis estar pendientes de qué más me depara el futuro este año.

La crisis del Corona traerá muchos cambios y, en mi opinión, volverá a cambiar la escena musical y nos presentará nuevos retos a todos (artistas, productores, dueños de discotecas, agencias, etc.). Debemos y tenemos que volver a nuestras raíces y empujar todos juntos. Al final, la música debería ser el centro de atención y la alegría que damos a todo el mundo que ama la música electrónica tanto como yo. Mi meta es por supuesto lanzar mi música con las mejores discográficas ahora y entrar en una agencia que de verdad me promocione y me lleve al top como un DJ.

I have big goals for the future and have been pursuing my own business plan for a year now. It is important to set new goals and to work towards them with passion and hard commitment. You can be curious about what else will come from me this year.
The Corona crisis will bring a lot of changes and will, in my opinion, turn the scene upside down again and pose new challenges for all of us (artists, bookers, club owners, agencies etc.). We must and should get back to our roots and should all pull together. In the end, the music should be in the center of attention and the joy we bring outside to everyone who loves electronic music as much as I do. My goal is of course to release on the best labels now and to get into an agency that really promotes me and brings me to the top as a DJ.

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

La música electrónica suele jugar un papel importante en mi vida y por eso determina mi rutina diaria.

Pero, por supuesto, también tengo un trabajo a media jornada que es mi segunda pasión, el cine. También me divierte ir a conciertos pop, o a eventos de comedia porque reír es definitivamente muy sano.

Mi pasión también incluye el deporte para mantenerme en forma para la industria de la música, esa es la razón por la que me muevo mucho en la naturaleza. Comer bien o prepararme algo sano es también muy importante para mi, por eso no bebo a penas alcohol. Amo a los animales y tengo dos gatos muy especiales que también requieren de mi atención de forma diaria.

Electronic music usually plays the main role in my life and therefore determines my daily routine.
But of course I also have a part time job that brings with it my second passion – cinema. I also enjoy going to pop concerts or comedy events, because laughing is definitely very healthy.
My passion also includes sports to keep me physically fit for the music business and that’s why I move around a lot in nature. Eating well or preparing something healthy by myself is also very important for me, that’s why I drink almost no alcohol. I love animals and I have two very special cats who also want attention every day.
When it is too cold or rainy outside, I like to spend an evening on the couch with an exciting Netflix series.

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

La revolución del streaming está jugando un papel muy importante ahora en la industria y definitivamente se ha vuelto indispensable. En mi opinión, en el sector electrónico, muchas más discográficas deberían prestarle atención porque también tiene una función de promoción, por ejemplo, ofrecer el lanzamiento en streaming antes de su fecha de lanzamiento oficial. Si quieres comprar el track, lo harás de todas formas. Pero de esta forma, se presentará a una audiencia mayor antes de su fecha de lanzamiento oficial lo que es una gran ventaja. Lo que me lleva de nuevo a la situación actual, ahora los fans no pueden escuchar las canciones en clubs o festivales, pero pueden hacerlo en casa vía streaming o siguiendo sesiones online de sus DJ favoritos.

Así que si no utilizas el streaming hoy en día y no ofreces tu música en Spotify o plataformas similares, por ejemplo, has perdido la oportunidad.

The Streaming Revolution is now playing a very big role in the music industry and has definitely become indispensable. In my opinion, especially in the electronic sector, many more labels should pay attention to it, because it also has a promo function, for example to offer the release for streaming before the official release date. If you want to buy the track, you will do so anyway. But this way it might be presented to a wider audience before the official release date which is a big advantage. Where we’re back to the current situation, because at the moment fans can’t listen to tracks in clubs or at festivals, but only at home by streaming or following streamed live sets from their favorite DJs.
So if you don’t stream nowadays and offer your music on Spotify or similar platforms, for example, you have missed the jump.
