 Soy un pianista clásico así que me encanta la música clásica, el hip hop, la música latina y la indie. Mi artista del momento es J Cole (un fenomenal letrista) pero me encanta Cold Play y Maroon 5

I am a classical pianist so I love classical music, hip hop, Latin and indie music. My artist at the moment is J Cole (a phenomenal lyricist) but I love Cold Play and Maroon 5. 

¿Cuánto tiempo llevas en la música? / How long have you been singing, songwriting, producing?

Llevo tocando música desde que tenía 5 años. Empecé en la producción de música en mis años de instituto y acabé firmando con Roc Nation por 5 años como productor/compositor y llevo desde entonces, así que diría que más de 20 años.

I have been playing music since I was about 5 years old. I was got in to music production in my high school years and ended up signing to Roc Nation for 5 years as a Producer/Songwriter and have been so ever since, so I’d say more than 20 years. 

¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?

Esta pregunta es muy difícil, podría decir cualquiera así que escojo MURDA de momento ya que muestra mi composición, producción y mis influencias R’n’B en el canto y la vibra dancehall reggae en el ritmo.

This is very tough. I could say anyone, so I’ll chose MURDA for now since it showcases my song writing, production, my RnB influences in the vocal delivery and the dancehall reggae vibe in the groove. 

¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?

Mi plan es hacer más trabajo colaborativo con artistas de los territorios que son mi fuerte y ahora es Costa Rica así que estoy mirando algunos artistas latinos.

My plan is to do more collaborative work with artists in the territories that are my strongest and at the moment this is Costa Rica so I’m looking at a few Latin artists.

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

Cuando no estoy haciendo música, el tiempo en familia lo es todo para mi y fuera de eso leo y juego mucho a futbol.

When I am not doing music, family time is everything for me and outside of that I read and play a lot of football. 

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

¡Me encanta! Creo que da a los artistas la oportunidad de conectar directamente con su audiencia y la gente consume mucha música, y creo que es una fantástica herramienta de descubrimiento.

I absolutely love it! I think it gives artists a chance to connect directly with their audience, and people consume a lot of music and I believe it is a fantastic discovery tool.
