¿Cuánto tiempo llevas en la música? / How long have you been singing/playing?

Hice todo eso de las clases de piano y coro durante el colegio, pero no fue hasta que cumplí 15 cuando empecé de verdad a tocar y cantar en solitario porque quería. Empecé a tocar la guitarra con 15 años y a componer mis propias canciones con 16. En cuanto a composición profesional se refiere, eso no empezó hasta que me gradué en Negocios cuando tenía 20 años!

I did the whole “piano lessons and choir” thing throughout elementary school, but it wasn’t until I turned 15 that I really started playing and singing solely because I wanted to. I started playing guitar at 15 and began writing/composing my own songs when I was 16. As far as songwriting as a profession goes, that didn’t start until I graduated from undergrad business when I was 20 years old!

¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?

Personalmente, creo que ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ sería la canción que elegiría para esta respuesta ya que al principio la escribí para mí! Creo que si hay alguna canción en el mercado que habla de quién soy como artista en cuanto a letra y emocionalmente, es esta.

Personally, I feel like “Don’t Let Me Go” would be the song of choice for this answer as I had initially written it for myself! I think if there’s any song currently out that lyrically and emotionally speaks to who I am as an artist, it’s this one.

¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?

¡Gran pregunta! Tengo un montón de colaboraciones en camino en el mundo del EDM por las que estoy muy emocionado… PERO, de lo que más emocionado estoy es de lanzar mi propia música! He estado trabajando con productores increíbles los últimos meses y puedo decir con confianza que 2020 va a ser un año muy especial en mi vida. No puedo ESPERAR a compartir mis historias con el mundo.

Great question! I’ve got a handful of upcoming collaborations in the EDM world that I’m super excited about… BUT, I’m most excited about my plans to begin releasing my own personal music! I’ve been working with some incredible producers for the past few months and can confidently say 2020 will be a really special year in my life. I can’t WAIT to share my stories with the world. 

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

Soy un gran fan de la pesca, el golf y explorar el mundo de la comida (tanto en la cocina como fuera de ella, hehehe)! No me malinterpretéis, me encantan los programas de televisión, las películas y los videojuegos, pero nada supera al aire libre.

I’m a big fan of fishing, golfing, & exploring the world of food (both in the kitchen and out of it hehehe)! Don’t get me wrong, I still love my tv shows/movies/video games, but nothing beats the outdoors. 

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

Creo que la revolución del streaming ha hecho maravillas para los artistas que buscan alcanzar masas de público de una forma que nunca antes ha existido. Recuerdo estar alucinado cuando Pandora salió al mercado pero a la vez deseando que hubiese una forma de escuchar canciones específicas de la forma en la que quisiera… así que gracias a la revolución del streaming por hacerlo posible!

I think the streaming revolution has done wonders for artists looking to reach the masses in a way that once never existed. I remember being so mind blown when Pandora was launched but simultaneously wishing there was a way to stream specific songs any which way I wanted…. so thank you streaming revolution for making that possible!
