¿Cuánto tiempo lleváis en la música? / How long have you been singing/songwriting?
Hemos estado cantando juntos desde hace más de ocho años, pero empezamos escribiendo, produciendo y lanzando canciones como ‘Scott & Young’ en 2015.
We’ve been singing together for more than eight years now, but we started writing, producing and releasing songs as «Scott & Young» in 2015.
¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?
Ahora mismo sería nuestra canción ‘Slow’. ¡La canción perfecta para cualquiera que tenga ganas de tirarse a la carretera este verano!
At the moment this would be our song «Slow». The perfect song for anyone who is in the mood for a roadtrip this summer!
¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?
Este año tenemos tres singles más planeados. Estamos promocionando nuestra música en vivo en varios festivales en Holanda.
Mientras tanto, estamos haciendo planes para viajar a través de Europa con una furgoneta camperizada en 2020, intentando actuar en tantos lugares como sea posible y salir del sistema por un tiempo. Sin duda, este viaje será de inspiración para nuestro primer álbum.
This year we have three more single releases planned. We’re promoting our music live at various festivals in Holland.
Meanwhile we are making plans to travel through Europe with a campervan in 2020, trying to perform at as many venues as possible and getting out of the system for a little while. Without a doubt this trip will be the inspiration for our first full album.
¿Qué os gusta hacer cuando no estáis haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?
Nos gusta pasar tiempo fuera en el jardín, dando largos paseos por el bosque, bebiendo café filtrado en casa por la mañana, el sol y viajar por las montañas. Nos gusta descubrir la ciudad de forma improvisada, sin saber dónde acabaremos, paseando por tiendas vintage y encontrando los mejores sitios para tomar café. Descansar en una hamaca, fotografía (analógica), cocinar sin receta, bebiendo IPA’s cuando hace calor y chocolate caliente cuando hace frío.
We like spending time outside working in the garden, making long walks through the forest, drinking home made filter coffee in the morning sun and traveling through the mountains. We like to discover a city on the go, without knowing where we’ll end up, strolling through vintage stores and finding all the nice coffee places. Chilling in our hammock, (analogue) photography, cooking without a recipe, drinking IPA’s when it’s hot and hot chocolate when it’s cold…
¿Qué opináis de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?
Creemos que es un negocio difícil. Como oyentes musicales frecuentes, es genial tener acceso a tanta música y descubrir nuevos artistas. Por otro lado, es mucho más difícil que antes cuando se vendían aún CD’s ganar dinero como músico.
Aun con todo, creemos que sigue mejorando y nos estamos moviendo en la dirección correcta, así que tenemos esperanza para el futuro.
We think it’s a difficult business. As frequent music listeners it’s great to have acces to a lot of music and discover new artists.
On the other hand it’s much harder to earn your money as a musician than it used to be when people still bought CD’s.
Still we believe it keeps getting better and we’re moving in the right direction, so we’re hopeful for the future
