¿Cuánto tiempo llevas en la música? / How long have you been singing/songwriting?

Empecé a tocar el piano cuando tenía dos años y empecé a componer con solo 9. Entonces tocaba canciones para amigos y familia y mi primer gran show fue en primaria.

He acabado el conservatorio y desde entonces he estado viajando al rededor del mundo componiendo para mi y para otros artistas. Escribí para Eurovisión, La Voz en Alemania, DJ FTampa de Brasil, etc.

Así que está muy arraigado en mi como persona.

I started playing piano when I was 2 years old and started writing songs when I was just 9. I would then perform my songs to friends and family and my first gig ever was at my elementary school.

I finished music college and since then I’ve travelling around the world both writing for myself as well as writing songs for others. I wrote for the Eurovision Song Contest, The Voice of Germany ,Brazilian DJ FTampa and so on…

So, it really is ingrained in who I am as a person.

¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?

Creo que las dos canciones que he lanzado hasta ahora muestran una versión distinta de mi. Una es muy alegre y la otra es más melancólica. Siento una conexión muy profunda con ambas canciones ya que tengo también un lado brillante y otro oscuro. Todo el mundo tiene uno, por supuesto, pero por alguna razón los míos parecen salir a la superficie más.

Me encanta “I do ( really like you )” porque es una historia muy alegre sobre enamorarse y que te guste alguien.

I think both of the songs I’ve released up to now really show a different side of myself. One is truly happy and the other is rather melancholic. I feel a very deep connection with both of the songs since I have a bright and a dark side as well. Everybody has one of course but for some reason mine seem to be coming to the surface more.

I love “I do ( really like you )” for it is a very happy story about falling in love and fancying somebody.

¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?

He estado componiendo algunas canciones este pasado año y están formando un álbum. Aunque, con el streaming, es casi mejor sacar canciones de una en una.

Hace poco tuve un tour a través de Reino Unido. He tocado en 22 grandes escenarios incluyendo el Royal Albert Hall como telonera de una artista holandesa.

Me ha enseñado lo genial que es ir de gira con tu propia música así que estamos trabajando en crear un pequeño tour. No puedo esperar a salir a la carretera y tocar mi música para la gente!

I have been writing quite a few songs in the past year and together they are starting to form an album. Though, with Streaming it’s almost better to release songs one at a time.

I recently had an amazing live tour through the UK. Playing 22 big venues including the Royal Albert Hall as a support act for a Dutch singer.

It has shown me how great it is to be touring with my own music so we are working on creating a small tour. I just can’t wait to get on the road and play my music for people!

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

Me encaaaanta dibujar, pintar, hornear y pasar mi tiempo fuera de casa. Vivo en una especie de granja con caballos, pollos, un perro, gatos, etc. Así que, suelo estar ayudando a mi madre en el jardín o a mi padre limpiando los establos. A parte de eso, mis mejores amigos son muy importantes, así que, les horneo unas brownies y les voy a visitar.

I loooove drawing, painting, baking and spending my time outside. I live on a sort of farm with horses, chickens, a dog, cats and so on. So, I’m mostly helping my mom in the garden or my dad with cleaning the stables. Besides that, my close friends are very important. So, I bake them brownies and I pay them a visit.

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

Creo que es bueno para el público pero la música se ha convertido en un poco desapercibida. El otro lado de esto es que ahora la música puede ser encontrado en cualquier lugar del mundo con solo pulsar un botón. Me encanta que se haya hecho tan accesible a todo el mundo en todas partes, pero también creo que la magia de lanzar un album con portada, todo el lado físico de vender tu CD y crear todo lo visual, ahora se queda solo para los shows en directo.

I think it’s good for the convenience of the public but music has become a bit wallflower. The other side to it is that now your music can be found anywhere in the world with just the push of a button. I do love that has become so accessible to everybody, everywhere. But I think also the magic of releasing an album with the artwork, the whole physical side of selling your CD and creating a whole sort of visual setting now all comes down to the live performance.
