Me gusta el ritmo más espiritual y caliente de Leif Vollebekk igual que el áspero estilo folk de Tallest Man on Earth. Disfruto de los pulcros sinte de Still Parade tanto como la pureza de los acústicos de Bob Dylan y prefiero a John Coltrane antes que a Miles David y a Beethoven sobre Mozart.

I like the almost spiritual and warm groove of Leif Vollebekk as well as the rough folk style of Tallest Man On Earth. I enjoy the neat synths of Still Parade as much as the purity of Bob Dylan acoustics and I prefer John Coltrane over Miles Davis and Beethoven over Mozart.

¿Cuánto tiempo llevas en la música? / How long have you been singing/producing/songwriting?

Hace mucho tiempo empecé jugando con la guitarra eléctrica en una banda de rock pero en algún punto me sentí atraído hacia estilos musicales algo más sutiles. Mi EP debut que saldrá este año ha sido producido en los dos últimos años.

A long time ago I started with playing the electric guitar in a stoner rock band but at some point I felt drawn to more subtle music styles. My debut EP that will be releasesd this year has been produced over the last two years.

¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?

Diría que ‘Bombs‘

¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?

Lanzar mi EP debut, escribir más canciones y lanzarlas, crecer una bonita audiencia, ir de gira y comprarle a mi madre una casa.

Release my debut EP, write more songs and release them, grow a nice audience, go on tour and buy my mother a house.

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

Me gusta la pintura abstracta e ir a exposiciones de artistas abstractos como Gerhard Richter, Mark Rothko, Anselm Kiefer y  K.O. Götz. Es un mundo que funciona muy diferente a la música pop y que me tienta mucho. Más allá de eso, he empezado un master en musicoterapia  para trabajar con música fuera de la industria de la música pop y ayudar a la gente a curarse.

I like to paint abstract paintings and go to art exhibistions of abstract artists like Gerhard Richter, Mark Rothko, Anselm Kiefer, K.O. Götz. It is a world that functions very differently from pop music and that tempts me a lot. Further I recently started a masters degree in music therapy to work with music outside of the pop music industry and help people recovering.

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

Para el oyente es muy conveniente y también hace la distribución de música muy fácil. Pero se lleva mucha del ‘aura’ de lo que los artistas producen realmente, la omni-disponibilidad compromete el valor real de la música. Pero, debo admitir, que soy también un usuario/oyente y que disfruto buscando a través de las playlists y artistas en servicios de streaming como Spotify.

For the listener it is very convenient and it also makes distribution of music very easy. But it takes away a lot of the ‘aura’ of what artists acutally ‘produce’, the omni-availability kinda compromises the actual worth of the music. But I must admit, I am also a user/ listener and I enjoy browsing through playlists and artists on streaming services like Spotify.
