¿Cuánto tiempo llevas en la música? / How long have you been singing / playing /producing / songwriting?

Recuerdo haber cantado toda mi vida. En el auto, en la ducha, en las calles, en la escuela y prácticamente en cualquier lugar. Tuve mi primera presentación a los 4 años, cantando canciones de pascua en el cumpleaños número 70 de mi abuela. Deben haber sido cerca de 100 personas las que estaban viendo, y me encantó. Siempre aproveché la oportunidad de cantar y estar en el escenario desde entonces, y a los 10 años empecé a escribir mis propias canciones.

I remember singing all my life. In the car, in the shower, on the streets, in school and pretty much everywhere. I had my first performance at the age of 4, singing Easter songs for my grandmas 70th birthday. There must have been around 100 people watching and I totally loved it. I always took a chance to perform and to be on the stage ever since and at the age of 10 I started to write my own songs.

¿Cuál dirías que es la mejor canción para que todo el mundo conozca tu trabajo? / Which would you say is the best song to make everyone know your work?

Depende de tu estado de ánimo! Yo diría que “Angry Ex” porque es honesta pero aún así algo divertida y un poco extraña de cierto modo, lo que la hace diferente de muchas otras canciones de pop típicas. Pero también me gusta “YOU” que es un poco triste pero muy poderosa.

Depends on which mood you’re in! I’d say ”Angry Ex” cause it’s honest but still kinda fun and quirky in a way, which makes it different from many other typical love songs. But I also really like ”YOU” which is a bit sad but still very powerful.

¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?

Llegar a ser reconocida en la industria musical. Quiero seguir lanzando música, y después de un álbum quizá empiece a cantar en vivo. Después de algunos conciertos ya veremos cuál es el siguiente paso para llegar allí!

To become a name in the Music industry. I want to keep releasing music and after an album I might start performing live. After some gigs we´ll see what the next step would be in order to get there!

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

Me gusta comer cosas que tienen azúcar. Amo los tacos. En el invierno me gusta esquiar y en el verano probablemente me encontrarás con mis amigos relajándonos a la orilla del agua.

I like to eat stuff with sugar in it. I love tacos. In the winter I like to go skiing and during summer you’d probably find me and my friends chilling by the water.

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

La revolución del streaming hace que la música esté disponible para todo el mundo. Creo que es bueno porque es más fácil llegar a la gente y hacer que conozcan tu música. Al mismo tiempo, sí que cambia la profesión del músico. Ya no se trata de hacer un gran álbum. Hoy en día presentarse en vivo es mucho más importante de lo que lo ha sido para poder lograr el éxito como cantautora.

The streaming revolution makes music available for everyone. I think it´s good ‘cause it´s easier to reach out and let people know about your music. At the same time, this does change the profession of being a musician. It´s not really about making one great album anymore. Today, performing live is of greater importance than what it has been before in order to make it as a singer-songwriter.
