¿Cómo ha surgido este featuring? ¿Cónocíais a Victor Perry antes de hacer esta canción?

Saxity_ Teniendo en cuenta que vivimos en Alemania y Victor Perry es un profesor de primaria en Nueva York, hemos tenido una amistad transoceánica en línea durante más de un año. 

Victor es uno de los talentos más amigables, positivos y prometedores que hemos conocido a través de la música durante los últimos años y es un placer haber trabajado con él. ‘You Found Me’ es nuestro primer lanzamiento original.

¿Cuál es el mensaje detrás de la letra?
Victor Perry_ El mensaje detrás de la letra de esta canción es simple. El amor puede llegar en los lugares más insospechados. Tiene una forma de encontrarse a si mismo.
 
¿Cuál ha sido vuestra principal inspiración?

Victor Perry_  La inspiración es que muchas veces cuando sentimos que nadie nos entiende o que a nadie le importa, el amor tiene su forma de recordarnos que alguien sí lo hace y que nunca estamos completamente solos.

Saxity_  Empezamos a producir ‘You Found Me’ el año pasado exactamente durante esta época. Los días iban haciéndose más cortos, las temperaturas bajando y las vacaciones de Navidad a la vuelta de la esquina. Creemos que estas circunstancias influenciaron la vibra de la canción mucho. Y al final la canción acaba encajando perfectamente en esta misma época.

El amor puede llegar en los lugares más insospechados

¿Cómo fue el proceso creativo? ¿Quién hizo qué y en que orden?

Saxity_  Buena pregunta. Al hacer algunos meses de eso no estamos muy seguros. Probablemente le enviaramos a Victor una demo muy básica y él desarrolló la letra, la melodía y grabó la voz, etc.

Una vez tuvimos su respuesta creamos el sonido alrededor de ella. El piano, las grabaciones de guitarra, el saxofón que dirige la melodía en el subidón, etc. La mezcla y la masterización nos llevó algo más de tiempo.

Hicimos muchísimas mezclas nada satisfactorias. La versión final fue creada a final de este verano y creemos que hicimos bien tomándonos nuestro tiempo.

¿How has this featuring happened? ¿Did you know Victor Perry before you made this song?

Saxity_ Being that we reside in Germany and Victor Perry is a middle-school teacher living in NYC, we’ve maintained an online overseas friendship for more than a year.

Victor is one of the most friendly, positive and pomising talents we met through music during the past years and its a pleasure working together. ‘You Found Me” is our first original release now.

¿Which is the message behind the lyrics?

Victor Perry_ The message behind the lyrics is simple. Love can come in the most unexpected places. It has a way of finding itself.

 
¿Which was your main inspiration?

Victor Perry_  The inspiration is that often times when we feel that no one understands, or no one cares, love has it’s way of reminding us that someone does and that we aren’t ever truly alone.

Saxity_  We started producing «You Found Me» last year exactly around this time. Days got shorter, temperatures fall and the holidays been just around the corner.
We feel these circumstances influences the vibe of the tune a lot as well. And it finally led to the sound fitting in perfectly now, in the same environment.

Love can come in the most unexpected places

¿How was the creative process of this track? ¿Who did what and in which order?

Saxity_  Good questions. Since some months past we aren’t quite sure. Most probably we sent a very rough demo Victors way and then he came up with lyrics, melody, vocal recording etc.

Once we got his topline back we created the sound around it. The piano, guitar recordings, the core saxophone lead melody on the drop etc. Mix and master took us a little longer.

We seriously did a bunch of mixdowns, all not very satisfying. The final version was created in late summer this year and we think we did right taking our time.
