#TALENTOS | De la playa a un hotel de Dallas, así nació ‘While We are Dreaming’ de Two Friends ft. Kevin Writer

La arena, el mar algo de brisa y las personas adecuadas pueden dar lugar a cosas tan extraordinarias como el nuevo tema de Two Friends, ‘While We Are Dreaming’ que por si aún no lo has escuchado, lo tienes aquí:

¿Mola, eh? Pues no hizo falta más de una tarde para que la magia surgiera entre Matt, Eli (ambos componentes de Two Friends) y Kevin Writer la persona que da voz a esta canción. Según cuentan los protagonistas ‘Escribimos este tema con él [Kevin] un día en la playa y quedamos muy contentos con cómo surgió’.
Matt & Eli que llevan juntos desde el instituto nos cuentan también que la letra de la canción viene a raíz de las aventuras que pasaron juntos cuando solo eran ‘niños normales’ en el instituto, niños que sabían que querían ser productores antes de saber si quiera producir. ‘Nunca olvidamos donde empezamos a soñar a lo grande y quien nos apoyó’.
A modo de confesión nos cuentan que su parte favorita del tema es la trompeta del último subidón y también que escuchar el tema les recuerda a Los Ángeles, donde crecieron, y la nostalgia de pensar en ello.

Aunque crearon el tema en una tarde llegando a grabarlo ese mismo día, la canción pasó por algunos retoques posteriormente hasta que un día en una habitación de hotel en Dallas justo antes de un show acabó completándose y convirtiéndose en la canción que es ahora.

Sand, the Ocean, some fresh air and the right persons can lead to extraordinary things as the new track from Two Friends, While We are Dreaming. In case you have missed it, here you have it:

¿Cool, huh? Well, they only needed an afternoon to let the magic begin. In words of Matt and Eli: ‘We wrote this song with him [Kevin Writer] one day by the beach and we were very happy with how it all came together’.

Matt & Eli, two guys that have been making music together since High School, tell us that this song comes from some adventures they remember from their High School years when they knew they wanted to become producers even before they knew how to properly produce music. ‘Never forgetting where we started dreaming big and who the people supporting us were’.

As a confession they tell us that their favourite part is ‘the trumpet in the last drop’ and also that listening to the track they remember ‘growing up in Los Angeles and the nostalgic feelings we get when thinking about it’.

Although they did create the song and recordered in one day, the track went through quite a few re-workings until one day before a show in a hotel room in Dallas, everything came together and the song we sing today was born as we know it.
