¿Cuánto tiempo hace que cantas y produces música? / How long have you been singing and producing?

Siempre he amado la música – siempre desde que tengo memoria. Una de las cosas que solía disfrutar mucho era cantar encima de las sintonías de las series de televisión. Con 16 años, tuve la oportunidad de estudiar canto, piano y composición musical. Cada día desde entonces, después del colegio o después de un duro día de trabajo, voy a casa y trabajo en mi música. En 2007 tuve mi primer gran éxito dentro de la composición de canciones para proyectos de House y Dance para Vinilos/CD/Recopilatorios en Italia y sus países adyacentes. Con ‘Indietro – Ciao Bella’ alcancé el Top de las listas Dance que incluía 4 recopilatorios que se lanzaron en la radio nacional Italiana. En 2007 empecé mi banda ‘Carry’. Era el cantante, compositor y teclista. Tocábamos música Pop-Rock. En 2008 ganamos el primer premio del ‘500 Picnic’ un evento organizado por FIAT y MTV en el que ganamos un Fiat 500. Del dinero que sacamos de ese premio pudimos producir nuestro primer álbum. Fue muy emocionante.

In 2015 me mudé a Sydney, Australia y empecé mi proyecto en solitario enfocándome en la música House/Dance.

I have always loved music – ever since I can remember. One of the things that I used to really enjoy was singing over tv series themes tunes. At the age of 16, I had the chance to study as a singer as well as study piano and music composition. Every day since then, after school or after a long day at work I go home and work on my music.  In 2007, I had my first big success in songwriting for dance and house projects, releasing songs for Vinyl/cd/compilation in Italy and surrounding European countries. With ‘Indietro – Ciao Bella’, I reached the Austrian Top Dance Chart which included 4 compilations and aired on Italian National Radio. In 2007 I started my band «Carry». I was the singer, songwriter and keyboard player. We were playing mainly Pop/Rock music. In 2008 we won the 1st prize, a Fiat 500 car, at the ‘500 Picnic’, a worldwide event organized by FIAT and MTV. From that money we’ve been able to produce our first album, it was really exciting.

In 2015 I moved to Sydney, Australia and I started my solo project, focusing on house/dance music.

‘Panamalu’ es ciertamente una de mis más populares canciones. Llegó hace muy poco al millón de streams en Spotify y sigue creciendo a paso rápido! Este delicadoy ecléctico ritmo está unido con una letra simple y palpable que promueve un sentimiento de determinación y positividad que conforma el perfecto sonido para un verano definitivo. ‘Panamalu’ no tiene significado; no es un sitio que puedas visitar físicamente. Es simbólicamente el verano perfecto. Saltar al océano en el primer día de calor, besar a esa persona especial frente a una hoguera bajo las estrellas, bailar desde el atardecer hasta el amanecer con tus amigos… eso es ‘Panamalu’.

«Fabio Carry – Panamalu» is certainly one of my most popular songs. It recently reached 1 Million streams on Spotify and still continues to increase at a fast pace! This smooth, eclectic beat is tied together with simple, palpable lyrics that promote a feeling of determination and positivity that sets the perfect tone for the ultimate summer.  “Panamalu” doesn’t have a meaning; it isn’t a place you can physically visit. It’s symbolic of the perfect summer. Jumping into the ocean for the first hot day of the season, kissing that special someone by the bonfire under the stars, dancing from dawn until dusk with your friends; that’s “Panamalu”.

¿Qué planes tienes de cara al futuro en cuanto a música? / What are your plans for the future in the artistic area?

Estoy planeando sacar mi nuevo single en los próximos meses. Estoy muy contento y trabajando duro en ello. Lanzaré dos versiones, Tropical House con influencia Reggaeton y otra R’n’B/Chill.

Estaré ciertamente ocupado promocionando mi música y de tour por Australia. Me encantaría venir a Europa a tocar también.

I’m planning to release my new single in the next few months. I’m very excited and I’m working hard on it. I will release two versions, tropical house with reggaeton influence, the other one R&B/chill.

I’ll certainly be busy promoting and touring around Australia. I would love to come to play in Europe as well.

¿Qué te gusta hacer cuando no estás haciendo música? / What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

¡Me encanta viajar! En realidad paso la mayoría de mi tiempo buscando en el mapa del mundo y pensando dónde voy a ir la próxima vez. Hace poco fui a Bali y also WhitSundays. Sitios increíbles que recomendaría a cualquiera!

También disfruto de la buena comida. Es un estereotipo, pero como italiano necesito comer pizza al menos una vez a la semana.

I love to travel! Actually, I spend most of my time looking at the world map and thinking where to go next. I recently went to Bali and also WhitSundays. Awesome places I would recommend for anyone to visit!

I also enjoy good food, it is a stereotype, but as an Italian, I need to have a pizza at least once a week.

¿Qué opinas de la revolución del streaming musical? / What do you think about the streaming revolution in music?

Creo que es genial, ahora somos capaces de descubrir millones de nuevas canciones en una única librería y sin interrupciones. Lo alucinante de esto es tener playlists para cada gusto musical, estado de ánimo o momento del día. Con Spotify he tenido la oportunidad de hacerme más popular como artista, descubrir otros artistas interesantes y explorar la posibilidad de ir a nuevos conciertos.

I think it’s great, now we are able to discover millions of new songs on the go in a unique library without any interruption. The awesome thing is having playlists for each specific music taste, mood or moment of the day. With Spotify, I have had the chance to become more popular as an artist, to discover other interesting artists, and explore the possibility to attend new concerts.
